South China Normal University, founded in 1933, was formerly the Teachers College of Li Qin University. 1996, the school entered the ranks of national "2 1 1 project" key construction universities, and in 20 15, it became a university jointly established by Guangdong Provincial People's Government and Ministry of Education, and in the same year, it entered the ranks of high-level universities in Guangdong Province as a whole. At present, South China Normal University ranks among the top 50 universities in China.
South China Normal University has four campuses: Guangzhou Shipai, Guangzhou University Town, Foshan Nanhai and Shanwei. Shipai Campus is the main campus of the school, which consists of School of Mathematics and Information Science, School of Physics and Electronic Information, School of Cultural Industry and Tourism, School of History, Culture and Law, School of Music and Dance, School of Foreign Languages and Cultures and School of Education. Guangzhou University Town Campus is the graduate education center of the school, including School of Management, School of Economic and Social Development, School of Humanities, School of Psychology and Social Work, School of Journalism and Communication, etc. Foshan Nanhai Campus is a comprehensive reform demonstration area of vocational education in South China, including Foreign Languages College, Mathematics and Information Science College, Life Science College, Software College, Art and Design College, etc. Shanwei Campus is a branch of the school, which mainly serves the local area.
