Chinese Marine University
China Ocean University (OUC), located in Qingdao, Shandong Province, is a comprehensive national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It ranks among the national "double-class", "985 Project" and "21project" and is selected as "201/plan".
Agriculture and Forestry Education Training Outstanding Talents Program, National College Students' Innovative Experiment Program, National High-level University Construction Postgraduate Program, New Engineering Research and Practice Program, and China Government Scholarship Institution for Foreign Students in China are members of China-Europe Elite University Alliance, Arctic University, International Antarctic College and International Maritime University Alliance, and the first batch of doctoral and master's degree awarding units in China.
The school was formerly a private Qingdao University, founded in 1924. 1930, National Qingdao University was established on the basis of provincial Shandong University and private Qingdao University. After the National Shandong University and Shandong University, the main body of Shandong University moved to Jinan in 1958, and in March/959, Shandong Ocean College was established on the basis of the departments of oceanography, fisheries, geology and biology.
1960 was identified by the state as one of the national 13 key comprehensive universities. 1988 was renamed Qingdao Ocean University. In 2002, it was renamed China Ocean University.
