Candidates who apply for junior college or undergraduate education in high school must have a high school diploma (junior high school diploma, or equivalent, social worker); Candidates who apply for the college entrance examination must have a series of diplomas from national education institutions and higher education self-study examination institutions recognized by the Ministry of Education.

There are two forms of adult higher education in Zhengzhou University: correspondence and amateur. There are three levels: junior college from high school, undergraduate from high school and undergraduate from junior college. At present, there are more than 20,000 registered students.
