The age limit for soldiers to be promoted is as follows:

1, graduated from ordinary high school or equivalent; Not more than 25 years old, among them, those who graduated from ordinary colleges and universities full-time before enlisting and obtained a degree are not more than 26 years old;

2, graduated from graduate school and obtained the corresponding degree, the age is not more than 29 years old; The age of ethnic minority soldiers serving in the troops stationed in Tibet and ethnic minority areas in more than three kinds of hard and remote areas may be relaxed 1 year (as of the current year 1 day);

3. Those who are admitted to good soldiers will be sent to designated institutions for centralized training for 2 years, with on-the-job study 1 year. Those who pass the training shall be put forward by the colleges and universities in accordance with the relevant provisions on job grading and awarding, and then the work shall be assigned.

Basic conditions for extracting dry objects:

1, basic quality. Strong political stance, excellent military quality, solid cultural foundation, potential for development, voluntary dedication to national defense, China * * * production party party member or party activists;

2. Education. Undergraduate graduates are mainly graduates who have participated in the national unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities, were admitted by the first and second batch of provincial admissions offices and obtained full-time undergraduate degrees and bachelor's degrees; It can also be a graduate who participated in the unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities nationwide, was admitted to the provincial admissions office in three batches, obtained full-time undergraduate education and bachelor's degree, and performed particularly well during his service;

3. Professional requirements. Male college graduates and soldiers are recommended to be promoted to any major. The recommended candidates for the promotion of female college graduates are mainly science and engineering, accounting, auditing, financial management, clinical medicine, pharmacy and biomedical engineering. Among them, female college soldiers who are not majoring in science and engineering and are engaged in communication major can be included in the selection scope of communication major if their scores in separate subjects of communication major are above good.

Legal basis: Article 19 of the Regulations of China People's Liberation Army on Servicemen.

Awarding and promoting the ranks of soldiers:

(1) Soldiers: conscripts who have served in active service for one year shall be awarded the rank of Private; Private was promoted to first class in the second year of active service.

(2) Junior noncommissioned officers: if a superior soldier is selected as a junior noncommissioned officer after the expiration of his active service, he will be promoted to corporal; Corporal who continues to serve in active service after three years is promoted to sergeant.

(3) Intermediate non-commissioned officers: if a non-commissioned officer is selected as an intermediate non-commissioned officer after three years of active service, he will be promoted to a staff sergeant; If a staff sergeant continues to serve in active service for four years, he will be promoted to a fourth-grade chief sergeant.

(4) Senior noncommissioned officers: if a fourth-grade master sergeant has been selected as a senior noncommissioned officer after serving in active service for four years, he will be promoted to a third-grade master sergeant; If the third-class master sergeant continues to serve in active service for four years, he will be promoted to the second-class master sergeant; If the second-class master sergeant continues to serve in active service for four years, he will be promoted to the first-class master sergeant.

Non-commissioned officers directly recruited from citizens with professional skills in non-military departments shall be awarded ranks for the first time according to their study time and professional working time in ordinary colleges and universities.

The promotion rank of noncommissioned officers in military academies upon graduation shall be determined with reference to the rank of noncommissioned officers who joined the army that year.
