With a series of reforms of the national enrollment distribution system in colleges and universities, college students gradually transition from the original unified recruitment to the direction that they need to bear part of the training expenses and choose their own jobs under the guidance of national policies. Due to the imbalance of economic development and distribution, the number of poor students in colleges and universities is increasing. Our school helps them solve practical difficulties through the "caring project" and creates conditions for them to study and grow with peace of mind. The specific method is as follows:
1, increase the intensity of awards and loans to encourage students to become talents. The school decided to raise funds through multiple channels, increase investment, increase scholarships for outstanding students, establish supporting measures for fee reform, and strengthen the incentive mechanism for students' learning. The Regulations on Scholarships for Excellent Students and the Measures for the Administration of Student Loans have been revised, so that each student can have one book. It is stipulated that the award-winning area of outstanding students will be increased from 25% to 50%, and the award amount will be increased from 100 yuan per person per year to 600 yuan and 4,000 yuan per person per year in 300 yuan. Scholarships for outstanding students are divided into five categories: grand prize, first prize, second prize, third prize and single top prize. The special scholarship for outstanding students is 4000 yuan per person per year, and the selection is not limited; The first-class scholarship for outstanding students is 1000 yuan per person per year, which is enjoyed by 5% students in our school every year; The second-class scholarship for outstanding students is awarded in 700 yuan every year, which is enjoyed by students in our school 15‰; The third-class scholarship for outstanding students is awarded to 300 yuan every year, which is enjoyed by 25% students in our college; Excellent single scholarship 100 yuan, enjoyed by 5% of students. The total amount of outstanding student scholarships awarded by the school has increased from 500,000 yuan in 1993 to 2 million yuan in 1997. The loan scholarship is also increased from 300-500 yuan per person per year to 1.500 yuan per person per year in 800 yuan. The total amount of student loans rose from10.40 million yuan in 1993 to10.76 million yuan in 1997. Through hard work, groups of students with financial difficulties have won excellent student scholarships and completed their studies, laying a solid foundation for success.
2. Strive for social support and actively create management and education conditions. We actively strive for the support and sponsorship of enterprises and alumni, and set up various scholarships by going out and inviting in to provide financial guarantee for students to become talents. Through hard work, the number of scholarships in our school has increased from less than 10 to more than 40 now, and the scholarship fund has reached more than 5 million yuan. There are two kinds of rewards: one is to reward outstanding students with excellent academic performance. The maximum reward amount is 4,000 yuan per person per year, which is generally 1 0,000 yuan per person per year. The second is to reward students who have financial difficulties but have made progress in their studies. The highest prize amount is 2000 yuan per person per year, generally, it is 1 000 yuan per person per year.
At present, investors who set up scholarships in our school include Shanghai Baoshan Iron and Steel Company, Changchun No.1 Automobile Manufacturing Company, Xianyang Rainbow Electronics Group, Xilu Anqing 'an Group, Baotou Steel Company and other large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises. Mr. Simon Li Fook sean, Deputy Director of the Preparatory Committee of the Preparatory Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Lai, General Manager of Xianyang 505 Group, and Mr. Rong Hai, President of Haixing Group; There are also foreign-funded enterprises such as DuPont in the United States and Siemens in Germany. Many reward societies have mobilized students' enthusiasm for learning, and also sponsored some students with difficult family circumstances. Only 1997, more than 550 college students won scholarships from enterprises, institutions and alumni with a bonus of 650,000 yuan.
