It is the key laboratory base of stem cells in Sichuan Province and a part of "2 1 1 project" of our school. There are 4 professors and 6 associate professors in this major. This major has complete teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment of national key textbooks such as biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, animal biology and animal physiology, such as cell biology. Graduate students are developing well at home and abroad.
At present, the main research directions of cell biology specialty are: cell molecular biology, stem cell biology, cell molecular mechanism of aging, cell engineering and somatic cell cloning. The master's degree program in biochemistry and molecular biology was merged from the master's degree program in biochemistry of 1985 (established in 1985) and the master's degree program in molecular biology of 1997 (established in 1994). After years of continuous development, there are now seven clear research directions: enzymology, protein chemistry and protein engineering, protein omics, glycoprotein structure and function, and analytical biochemistry.
