Sanjiang university University, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, was founded in 1992. It is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is the experimental zone of comprehensive reform of higher education in Jiangsu province, the pilot university of "establishing modern university system" project in Jiangsu province, and the construction point of authorized units for postgraduate students in Jiangsu province.

The origin of sanjiang university's name can be traced back to 1902 "Sanjiang Normal School".
