Thoughts on running the School of Applied Technology of Kunming University of Science and Technology
Based on the guiding ideology of Kunming University of Science and Technology, the College of Applied Technology adheres to the guidance of market demand and aims to build an applied technology college with distinctive professional characteristics. Taking "application-oriented, leading technology, highlighting ability and applying what you have learned" as the concept of running a school, we put forward the idea of "strengthening quality internally and expanding the market externally", and actively establish a "multi-specification, modular and three-dimensional" talent training system aimed at applied and skilled talents; Effective measures have been taken to pay equal attention to training and introduction, and a team of "double-qualified" teachers (including 22 full and associate professors, 49 doctors, masters and graduate students, 2 returned overseas students and 3 foreign experts) has been built to meet the requirements of talent training. Vigorously promote the "teaching quality project" led by the teaching quality monitoring system, pay attention to the professional market demand, students' technical application and practical ability training, and establish an organization and management organization suitable for the training of applied and skilled talents, which provides a strong organizational guarantee for the training quality of "double certificates" talents. According to the needs of professional practice teaching, the college has established student practice teaching bases with more than 30 enterprises and institutions, such as Yunnan Aerospace Industry Corporation, Kunming High-tech Zone Management Committee, Kunming Economic Development Zone Management Committee, Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, Yunnan Fangguan Group, etc., which are student-oriented, teaching on demand, and strive to cultivate students' practical ability, competitiveness, innovation and entrepreneurship ability and employability.
