The College of Literature of Jinan University is one of the earliest colleges established in Jinan University. There are four department-level teaching and research units, namely, China Language and Literature Department, History Department, China Institute of Cultural History and Institute of Sino-foreign Relations, which have the right to confer doctoral degrees. The current dean is Professor Cheng.
