Brief introduction of Hebei Geo University
Hebei Geo University, referred to as Hebei Dida for short, is a university approved by the Ministry of Land and Resources and the People's Government of Hebei Province. Its predecessor was Hebei Institute of Geology and Shijiazhuang Institute of Economics 1, which was founded in 1953. The school is located in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. It is the first geological college directly under the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources in New China to set up a major in economic management. In 2000, the school management system was transferred from the Ministry of Land and Resources to the central and local institutions of higher learning, with Hebei Province as the main management. 20 13 The Ministry of Land and Resources and the People's Government of Hebei Province signed the Agreement on the Joint Construction of Shijiazhuang College of Economics by the Ministry of Land and Resources, and the school became a university jointly built by the Ministry of Land and Resources. On March 20 16, with the approval of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Ministry of Education, Shijiazhuang Institute of Economics was officially renamed as Hebei Geo University. Li Tingdong, a regional geologist, is honorary chairman of Hebei Academician Workstation of China Academy of Sciences. Hebei Geo University has a long history, profound background and distinctive features, and has developed vigorously since it was founded and moved to Hebei Province. Over the past 60 years, generations of adults have worked hard, and Liu Lu, Shao Kezhong, Du Rulin, Liu Guangya and Niu Yinshu have been handed down from generation to generation. It has trained a large number of provincial and ministerial leaders, famous scientists, experts and scholars, university leaders, entrepreneurs, geological prospecting models, and silently dedicated college students from all walks of life. As of September 20 15, the school has a total area of 232 1.03 mu and a building area of 403,500 square meters. The value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment is 30.751.5 million yuan, the library has 1.37 million books, and the digital resources are 400,000 GB. The school has Earth Science Museum and Ganyuan Finance Museum. There are 20 teaching units, 8 scientific research institutions, 5 first-class disciplines, 2 disciplines and 22 master's degree authorization points. There are 9 18 full-time teachers, 52 undergraduate majors, and 685 students, including graduate students, enrolled in 3/kloc-0 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.
