Shaanxi Normal University is a key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and it is a national "2 1 1 project". It is an important base for training teachers, educational management cadres and other senior professionals in colleges and universities, and is known as the "cradle of teachers" in northwest China. The school's predecessor was Shaanxi Teachers College, which was established in 1944. 1954 changed its name to Xi' an Normal University, 1960 merged with Shaanxi Normal University and was named Shaanxi Normal University. 1978 directly under the Ministry of Education.
