The Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, also known as the gastrointestinal anorectal hospital affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University (referred to as the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University), is headed by Lan Ping (Professor). He is also an academician of the American College of Surgeons, a member and secretary-general of the Colorectal Surgery Group of the Chinese Medical Association, and a deputy director of the Colorectal Surgery Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association.
