Sichuan University, referred to as "Sichuan University" for short, is a university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and a unit directly under the central government. It is a national "double first-class" A-class world-class university and a high-level comprehensive national key university focusing on "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project". Selected into "20 1 1 Plan", "Everest Plan", "11Plan", "Excellence Plan" and "Overseas High-level Talents Introduction Plan", and set up a graduate school, which is qualified for graduate students to mark papers independently.

Sichuan University was formed by the merger of Sichuan University, Chengdu University of Technology and West China University of Medical Sciences.
