Employment prospect of geology major
With the development of social productive forces, human activities have more and more influence on the earth, and the restrictive effect of geological environment on human beings has become more and more obvious. How to use the earth's resources reasonably and effectively and maintain the living environment of human beings has become a concern in the world today. Therefore, the field of geological research further extends to the interaction between people and land. The employment field is vast and the development space is large.

Other information:
Few institutions list geology as an unpopular major in the world, and most of them are very popular majors, such as economics, law, business and computer. In fact, there are many classifications under geology, which are difficult to be sorted out. A few years ago, a division of AAPG (American Petroleum Geology Society) made a world ranking for the major categories of earth sciences (not only geology, but also geophysics, oceanography, meteorology, paleontology, stratigraphy, etc.), but few people saw it and it was very controversial. No one lined up after that. At that time, the ranking of AAPG was:
