Step 1: the reader aims the bar code on the library card at the infrared ray of the scanning gun to scan;

Step 2: Open the bar code of the book borrowing, and aim at the infrared ray of the scanning gun for scanning;

Step 3: Attach the spine of the borrowed book to the degaussing instrument and gently cross it for degaussing.

Or the self-service machine on the second floor of the library:

Step 1: the reader inserts the bar code of the library card horizontally forward into the card slot according to the screen prompt operation of the machine;

Step 2: Enter the password and press the "OK" key;

Step 3: The reader puts the book cover up, and the spine of the book clings to the groove, then pushes the book to the bottom of the machine to cover the red dot, and opens the book borrowing bar code to scan with infrared rays (if infrared rays cannot scan the bar code, please gently lift the scanner of the self-service machine to aim at the bar code);

Step 4: After borrowing books successfully, press the "End" button to end the borrowing process and take out the library card.
