1, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and jointly established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. It is a national "world-class discipline construction university" and a national "2 1 1 project" and "985". The school was founded by China People's Liberation Army Institute of Military Engineering 1953 (hereinafter referred to as "Harbin Institute of Military Engineering"), and was renamed Nanjing University of Science and Technology on 1993 after the development stages of Artillery Engineering Institute, East China Institute of Engineering and East China University of Science and Technology.
