The sub-projects of "2 1 1 project" and "985 project" of Central South University have begun to take shape, and a highly reliable digital library environment of "twin towers" optical fiber storage network with 2GB SAN (storage area network) architecture as the core has been constructed, with dual-computer cluster and remote storage, and the hard disk capacity of 20TB, realizing the pattern of centralized information release and decentralized management. Digitize the resources of China Library, establish a service system based on basic literature metadata DC storage, resource reorganization and navigation database construction, and realize resource integration and knowledge service. The Chinese and foreign language information resource database realizes the integration of the bottom layer and the application layer, provides the unified retrieval across databases and platforms, and realizes the docking of the automatic integrated management system and the full-text electronic collection resources, which provides faster and more convenient services for teaching and scientific research and fully guarantees the demand for information resources. The digital library of Central South University is in a leading position in the same industry in China. Vigorously introduce and promote the use of electronic literature resources such as databases, improve and expand self-built databases, integrate literature information resources, and form advantages and characteristics. Full-text databases such as China Academic Journals Full-text Database (CNKI) and abstract databases such as CA, EI, IOPP and BIOSIS * * * have introduced more than 80 kinds of CD-ROMs and online databases at home and abroad. By the end of 2005, * * * had more than 50,000 kinds of full-text electronic periodicals in Chinese and foreign languages, and 400,000 kinds of electronic books such as Superstar and Founder, covering all key disciplines in our school. The self-built "full-text database of doctoral and master's dissertations", navigation database, Chinese and foreign bibliographic database, and special literature database of nonferrous metals have all formed a certain scale. Among them, the characteristic literature database of nonferrous metals and the navigation database of key disciplines are included in the sub-project of "China Higher Education Literature Guarantee System (CALIS)". Offering information literacy education courses for undergraduates and postgraduates, holding various lectures regularly, providing training for teachers and students on the use of various electronic resources, and actively promoting the use of various literature information resources.
