Thoughts on taking children to visit Tsinghua University
August 20 17, I don't remember when I paid attention to the official account of wechat, Tsinghua University lifelong laboratory. I just feel that every article I push is my favorite content. For example, "How to make children fall in love with reading" pushed on August 4 is what I need, so I pay attention because I like it.

I don't remember the day when I saw the summer course arrangement of TULLL and Tongxing Planet pushed by the official WeChat account, and I signed up my children with a try-and-see attitude. Unexpectedly, I received a rejection letter on August 9. Although rejected, I am still very interested in this activity. What I didn't expect was that on August 1 1, I received an email informing two children that they could go to Tsinghua University lifelong learning laboratory to learn "solar system" as a substitute. I was very excited at that time. Mountain dolls can go to Beijing to experience it, swim in Tsinghua University and get in touch with China's top academic ideas. I don't think this kind of walk is a simple poetic walk. This walk may affect the child's life-long thinking or lifestyle, even more serious than I thought.

In order to catch up with the time, we arrived in Beijing one day earlier. On the evening of August 2 1, Mr. Tao called again to confirm whether we had arrived in Beijing, and thanked Tsinghua University Lifelong Learning Laboratory again for its enthusiasm. Teacher Tao said that she was worried that we couldn't go, so she asked again to make sure that she was relieved when we arrived in Beijing. In fact, I didn't know until I got to the lab that most of the other children were from Beijing, and there were only fifteen children in the class, so I understood why Teacher Tao was worried. Actually, her name is Miss Tao, but she is only in her twenties. She is a teacher in Tsinghua University lifelong learning laboratory. The teacher with "Child Star" printed on his vest belongs to another educational institution, Child Star Planet. This activity was jointly organized by them.

On August 22nd, we got ready early, just waiting to start. Get off at the east gate of Tsinghua West Gate and Peking University. By this time, the road was already crowded with people. We followed the crowd to the west gate of Tsinghua University, and the sign at the gate clearly said: No visiting. It is said that 20 17 freshmen are entering school, and the school is only open on Saturday and Sunday. Looking through the door, the campus full of green is very quiet and beautiful! I'll show our QR code to the doorman. Let go! Walking on the asphalt road in Tsinghua University has an indescribable feeling. I have many ideas, and I don't know what to say. I just walked silently and watched attentively. Only pedestrians hurried by, and the children were quiet. Walking on Tsinghua West Road, there is only a quiet feeling. The class building is near the south gate, so we almost walked half of Tsinghua and found that Tsinghua is bigger than the main city of our county, with complete facilities and elegant environment. Even a xiaohongmen must be hidden in the green Parthenocissus, which is pleasing to the eye everywhere. We used mobike to push two children forward.

At 8: 50, we arrived at the class building, pushed the door and went in, only to find that it was a classroom and laboratory for automobile majors. The classrooms are all arranged in a booth, which we have never seen before. The teachers' offices are all marked with nameplates. The security guard came to ask us what we were doing and told us to go out of the north gate and enter the sixth floor area B from the west gate. I'm afraid it's too late to look at the time. The security guard said he was afraid that you wouldn't find a place in it like a maze. Just behind him, several students on the sixth floor said they could take us up, and the students were very enthusiastic.

At 8: 58, we arrived. There are several bronze medals hanging at the door, as well as those donated by the Danish Lego Foundation and Tsinghua alumnus Huang. You can see some children playing games there from the corridor. Yes, this is it!

After I put my bag away, I saw Lolo doing a test. The content is that children divide cookies. 12 There are several ways for children to share cookies. Before I could have a closer look, the children had been asked to hold hands and play games in circles. This is a self-introduction game. Children label when they sign in and say hello when they introduce themselves. I once participated in this kind of self-introduction in Xi 'an, and I deeply felt deja vu. Physical contact with strangers can quickly eliminate the sense of estrangement, and children will soon become familiar with it through self-introduction. I'm afraid it's difficult for my two children to integrate into the group. After all, it is their first time to enter this class, and it is a class where mom and dad study together. After three rounds of self-introduction, I found that my worries were a bit redundant. They can communicate with children and teachers skillfully in Mandarin, but my son can say whatever he wants. He doesn't like to raise his hand. He also interrupts the teacher halfway, so he is more free in class.

This class lasts for three hours, and the content is: a demonstration of my solar system, time and space, eight planets and matter from small to large. Don't say it's a shock to children, only to me.

In the first half of the class, the teacher asked a question: How much do you know about the solar system? Look at most children, and our children are no exception. There are two little boys who are particularly rich in celestial knowledge and speak clearly. I haven't heard of some terms, such as Oort nebula, quark, tarantula nebula and so on. It is really difficult to distinguish the concepts of time and space, and it is really difficult for children aged nine to twelve to distinguish these two concepts. The teacher demonstrates the change of time through the growth process of small saplings from small to large, and distinguishes the concept of space through the existence of roots, leaves, flowers and fruits of big trees. I wonder if the children can understand? During the break, I asked the two children how they were listening. The daughter said that she could basically understand, and the son said that she didn't understand at all. The introduction of the eight planets is explained in the concept of space through pictures, including the name, characteristics, alias, volume, distance from the earth, autobiography and temperature of each planet. Children's thinking is open and casual. Speaking of Mars, some children say that ultraviolet disinfection is harmful to human body, so all children are talking about ultraviolet rays. Speaking of Uranus, a child said, Teacher, I know why Uranus is bright and Neptune is not. That's because Neptune is far from us. Some children think this statement is too simple, and everyone knows it. The teacher said that what you know may not be said. Indeed, it's easier said than written. Wandering in the text for such a long time is also deeply touched. Sometimes some thoughts and feelings are fleeting, sometimes what you write is not close to what you express, and sometimes others interpret it differently from what you express. I think this is directly related to my lack of mastery of words, and maybe it is also related to my ideological depth and personal cultivation.

During the break, the children played with tall building blocks and robots for assembly, which was the first time they saw it. Children go to the toilet for running and watch other students play while eating. "Learn to play" and "Learning is a lifelong career". Playing is a child's nature, and education should also follow people's physiological and psychological characteristics. See the authenticity of children during recess. What can you say?

In the second half of the class, the teacher plays a video first, in which the substances are arranged from small to large. From neutrinos, protons ... to the Milky Way, Andromeda, Immortal, and the Great Wall in the morning, I don't know how many light years have passed. With the video playing, the children only have one "wow" after another! Because my child's knowledge only reaches the Milky Way. I heard my son say, teacher, I feel so small! Yes, in the long river of time, in the vast sea of people and the rolling world of mortals, how small people are, children, you can appreciate this preciousness. I just hope you know your position, whether it is time or space, decide your position and learn to live. I think you will learn something from this class. I never wanted you to be rich. I just want you to keep your feet on the ground. Today is happier than yesterday. That's enough!

It's already 1 1 half past one, and the teacher's homework is to make a picture with colored mud that I feel most deeply in this class. Seeing all the children doing it seriously, my daughter made Saturn with a halo and my son made a black hole. These two paintings have been taken back from Beijing to Shijiazhuang to Yuanshi County! The son said that he would post it next to his award, and the daughter also said that she would post it. As for painting, from the point of view of adults, it is not very similar, but from the point of view of children, it may be different.

At twelve o'clock sharp, we reluctantly left the laboratory. At Lanyuan Hotel, the children greeted them as soon as they entered the door. "Hi, hello!" Is there anyone we know in Tsinghua? Looking carefully, it is the children who have just been in class together, and the three children greet each other again. It seems that greeting at the beginning of class is still unfinished!

"Still want to see? Think about it! If you go out, you can't get in! " Our lover urged us. Maybe we didn't even get in half or two thirds of Tsinghua University, so we hurried back with some regret. People are in such a hurry on the trip!

An experience that you will never forget!
