Jimei University does not have a full-time junior college, but it has a junior college.

School-running began with the normal department of Jimei School founded by Chen Jiageng, a famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader, on 19 18, and the fishery and business department of Jimei School founded on 1920, with a history of one hundred years.

From 65438 to 0994, Jimei Normal College, Jimei Navigation College, Jimei Finance and Economics College, Xiamen Fisheries College and Fujian Institute of Physical Education merged to form Jimei University. The school takes "sincerity" as its motto, and adheres to the principle of "building a school with the spirit of Tan Kah Kee and educating people with sincerity" in its long-term running practice, and enjoys a wide reputation at home and abroad.
