The headquarters of Southeast University is Sipailou Campus, located at No.2 Sipailou, Xuanwu District, Nanjing. Southeast University was founded in 1902 Sanjiang Normal School. 192 1 On the basis of Nanjing Normal University, the National Southeast University was established, with engineering courses under it. Later, engineering experienced the historical periods such as the Engineering College of National Fourth Sun Yat-sen University, the Engineering College of National Central University and the Engineering College of National Nanjing University.

1952 National faculty adjustment, with the former Institute of Technology of Nanjing University as the main body, merged with relevant departments of Fudan University, Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University and Jinling University, and established Nanjing Institute of Technology in the original site of Central University.

In May 1988, the school was renamed Southeast University; In April 2000, the former Southeast University, Nanjing Railway Medical College and Nanjing Jiaotong University merged, and Nanjing Geological School merged to form a new Southeast University.
