The school has a long history, strong teachers, rich academic atmosphere and outstanding teaching results. At present, there are 0/70 faculty members and 0/30 full-time teachers, including 37 associate professors and 52 lecturers, and many of them have obtained master's degrees and provincial and municipal academic leaders. The school has hired American teachers for many years to teach oral English and pronunciation courses. The school has more than 2200 students, all of whom are under boarding management. In teaching, paying attention to the training of students' teaching skills has achieved remarkable results. Previous graduates are well received by employers. In order to meet the needs of students to improve their academic level, the school began to organize junior college students to take the self-study examination of undergraduate education in Shanxi Normal University in 2005, and strived to enable outstanding students to obtain both junior college and undergraduate degrees when they graduated. Students in school enjoy all the benefits of national normal colleges in terms of registration, fees, graduation, scholarships, undergraduate education, employment guidance and services. In 2005, the school was evaluated by the expert group of the Provincial Department of Education, and all indicators were rated as good and qualified.
