Bohai university, referred to as "Boda" for short, is located in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, a famous historical and cultural city on the coast of Bohai Sea. It is a comprehensive university organized by Liaoning Provincial People's Government. Jinzhou Normal University and Liaoning Business School merged on April 5, 2000, and the school was tentatively named Jinzhou Normal University. In April 2003, Jinzhou Teachers College was renamed bohai university.
