Zhejiang University School of Foreign Languages was founded in 1928. 1999 The former Foreign Languages Department of Zhejiang University, the former Foreign Languages College of Hangzhou University, the former Foreign Languages Department of Hangzhou University, the former Foreign Languages Department of Zhejiang Agricultural University and the former Foreign Languages Teaching Department of Zhejiang Medical University were merged to form the Foreign Languages College of Zhejiang University.
