The college has a provincial-level Putonghua training and testing workstation, and the testing station has a standardized computer-aided testing room, which is responsible for the training and testing of Putonghua inside and outside the school. The college has a comprehensive reference room and a Chu culture reference room. It has large library collections such as Sikuquanshu and Ancient and Modern Books Integration, as well as online digital resource libraries such as China periodical network, reading show and Chinese studies collection, which serve teaching and scientific research. The College of Liberal Arts has established Jingchu Cultural Research Center, a key research base of humanities and social sciences in colleges and universities in Hubei Province. The historical discipline with characteristics of Jingchu culture research is a key discipline in Hubei Province, which has the right to award master's degrees, and trains master's students in the fields of China cultural history, China literature history, China history and Chinese journalism history, covering three majors: Chinese language and literature, radio and television journalism and history.
At present, the College of Liberal Arts has four-year undergraduate education (including "junior college"), general normal college education, adult higher education, teachers' continuing education and international student education, with full-time undergraduates 1347, international students 1000 and more than 65,438 adult education students.
