Pharmaceutical engineering specialty is one of the specialties established earlier in Jinan University. This major aims to cultivate talents with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics, humanities and scientific literacy, with a solid foundation, innovative consciousness and practical ability, who can engage in the development, amplification and design of pharmaceutical manufacturing, new technologies, new equipment and new varieties.
2. Professional characteristics
Professional teachers come from well-known universities and research institutes at home and abroad, and the proportion of teachers with doctoral degrees reaches 75%.
Excellent practical teaching conditions, with 1 experimental center and six professional laboratories (pharmaceutical engineering laboratory, pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory, pharmaceutical analysis laboratory, pharmaceutical synthesis laboratory and natural pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory), and the total value of experimental instruments and equipment exceeds 20 million yuan. At present, there are more than 10 student practice bases including Lunan Pharmaceutical and Qilu Pharmaceutical. Every year, students are organized to practice in the practice base.
