Shandong Agricultural University, located in Tai 'an City, Shandong Province, is a university jointly established by the people of China, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the State Forestry and Grassland Bureau and the Shandong Provincial People's Government. It is the first batch of pilot universities in China to reform the education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents.
It has been selected into the national "Key Discipline Project with Characteristics", the national postgraduate project of building high-level universities, the national universities with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, the famous universities with Shandong characteristics, the "first-class discipline" construction project in Shandong Province, and the "first-class" construction of high-level universities in Shandong Province. The school, formerly known as Shandong Higher Agricultural School, was founded in Jinan, 1906.
After several changes, 1952, Shandong Provincial Agricultural College merged with Shandong University Agricultural College at that time, and was placed under the Fruit Tree Group of cheeloo university Agricultural College, the Horticulture Department of Jinling University and the Horticulture Department of Nanjing University to form a new Shandong Agricultural College, which was located in Jinan.
