General conditions for studying abroad:

1, education requirements

For China students, to apply for an undergraduate degree in the United States, they must graduate from high school at least, and to apply for a master's degree, they must have a bachelor's degree. When applying for schools and majors, you should try your best to meet your academic qualifications, work experience and hobbies, but you can also consider some special majors for conversion. For example, students majoring in English in China can transfer to the United States to study MBA.

2. English requirements

American universities require students to provide English scores when applying, and the basic requirement is that the TOEFL score of undergraduate students is not less than 500. Postgraduates applying for postgraduate study not only require TOEFL scores above 550, but also may need to provide other relevant English scores, such as GRE scores for science and engineering, liberal arts and mathematics majors, GMAT scores for business majors, and DAT scores for dental and medical majors.

MCAT score, LSAT score required by law major, etc. However, some American universities do not require GRE or GMAT scores for students applying for postgraduate courses. Excellent English scores can help students apply for different courses.

3. Basic process of studying abroad at one's own expense

(1) With my ID card or household registration book or other household registration certificates, I will go to the exit-entry administration department of the municipal or county public security bureau where my household registration is located to receive the Application for Approval of China Citizens Going Abroad on Business in duplicate.

(2) Fill in the Examination and Approval Form for China Citizens Going Abroad, and submit it to the unit or police station for political examination.

(3) Submit the applicant's ID card, residence booklet or other household registration certificates, and submit a copy.

(4) Submit four recent bareheaded color busts of the applicant (glossy paper). One-time imaging snapshots, reshaped photos or photos printed by various color printers are not accepted.

(5) If the individual contacts to study abroad at his own expense, he shall submit the acceptance notice issued by the receiving school; If you study abroad through a legal intermediary, submit relevant certificates and admission notices in a unified format of the intermediary.

(6) Those with college education or above who apply for studying abroad at their own expense shall submit the Qualification Examination Certificate for Studying Abroad at Their Own Expense issued by the provincial education authorities.

(seven) to study religious courses abroad (including studying in religious colleges), a certificate of consent issued by the Bureau of Religious Affairs at or above the provincial level shall be submitted.

(eight) other certificates that the examination and approval authority deems necessary.
