The Engineering University of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force is located in the site of Qin 'afang Palace in an ancient city, formerly known as the Armed Police Technical College. /kloc-0 was established with the approval of the State Council and the Central Military Commission in 1983./kloc-0 was renamed as the Armed Police Engineering College in September 1998, and was transformed into the Armed Police Engineering University in July 201.

The school is the earliest military academy established by the Armed Police Force, offering undergraduate and master's education, and has been identified as the key construction of the "2 1 10 Project" of the whole army.
