Chengdu Jincheng College, formerly known as Sichuan University Jincheng College, was founded in 2005. It is an independent college jointly organized by Sichuan University and Sichuan Jincheng Industrial Development Co., Ltd. In June, 2002, approved by the Ministry of Education, Chengdu Jincheng College of Sichuan University was transformed into an independent full-time undergraduate college and renamed Chengdu Jincheng College.
