Brief introduction of Jinling Institute of Technology

Jinling Institute of Technology is located in Nanjing, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties. It is a public full-time undergraduate college with the task of cultivating high-quality applied talents. It is the research unit of the experimental reform strategy of the University of Applied Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education, the initiator of China Universities of Applied Sciences (College) Alliance, and the chairman of the alliance of applied undergraduate universities in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The school's predecessor was Jinling Vocational College, the first full-time city vocational university in New China, established by 1980, and Nanjing Agricultural College, established by 1958 and rebuilt by 1984. In June 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the provincial and municipal governments, the two universities merged to build Jinling Institute of Science and Technology, which was formally established in March 2005.
