Laws and regulations on corporal punishment of students in colleges and universities
According to the relevant laws of our country, if teachers abuse or physically punish students, the laws that education will violate mainly include the Law on the Protection of Minors, the Law on Compulsory Education and the Law on Teachers.

Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of Minors

Article 21 The teaching staff of schools, kindergartens and nurseries shall respect the personal dignity of minors, and shall not impose corporal punishment on minors, corporal punishment in disguised form or other acts that insult their personal dignity.

Sixty-third schools, kindergartens and nurseries infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of minors, and the administrative department of education or other relevant departments shall order them to make corrections; If the circumstances are serious, the directly responsible person in charge and other directly responsible personnel shall be punished according to law.

School, kindergarten, nursery staff corporal punishment, corporal punishment of minors or other degrading behavior, by their units or higher authorities shall be ordered to make corrections; If the circumstances are serious, it shall be punished according to law.

Article 29 Teachers should treat students equally in education and teaching, pay attention to their individual differences, teach students in accordance with their aptitude and promote their all-round development.

Teachers should respect students' personality, and must not discriminate against students, and must not punish students with corporal punishment, corporal punishment in disguised form or other acts that insult their personal dignity, or infringe upon their legitimate rights and interests.

Thirty-seventh teachers in any of the following circumstances shall be given administrative sanctions or dismissed by schools, other educational institutions or educational administrative departments:

(a) deliberately not to complete the task of education and teaching, resulting in losses to education and teaching;

(two) corporal punishment of students, the education is invalid;

(three) bad conduct, insulting students, bad influence.

If a teacher falls under any of the circumstances listed in Items (2) and (3) of the preceding paragraph and the circumstances are serious enough to constitute a crime, he shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law.
