There are three sets of real questions in CET-4 to prevent cheating. The listening content of the three sets of papers is the same, but the order of ABCD options has changed. Other parts will be different, each type of questions will be randomly combined, but the difficulty of the three sets of papers is similar. 20 19, 12, the national English test band 4 and band 6 began to adopt the mode of "multiple questions and multiple papers".
"Multiple questions and multiple volumes" refers to multiple sets of papers with different contents in the same examination room. The influence of the difficulty difference between multiple sets of papers on the candidates' performance will be dealt with through the equivalent calculation between papers, so the candidates' performance will not be affected by the difficulty difference of the papers they answered.
CET-4 of PETS consists of two parts: written test and oral test.
The written test paper (140 minutes) is divided into four parts: listening, using English knowledge, reading comprehension and writing.
The oral test paper (12 minutes) is divided into three sections to examine candidates' oral communication ability. Both written and oral tests are guided by English.

This part consists of three paragraphs, A, B and C, to examine the examinee's ability to understand spoken English.
Section a (5 questions): examine the examinee's ability to understand detailed information. Candidates are required to fill in the blanks in the sentences or tables according to the contents of a dialogue or monologue of 180-220 words. Play the recorded material twice.
Part b (5 questions): examine the examinee's ability to understand general and specific information. Candidates are required to answer five short answer questions according to a dialogue or monologue of 280-320 words. Play the recorded material twice.
Part C (10): It examines the ability of candidates to obtain specific information, understand general and detailed information, guess the meaning of words, and judge the speaker's attitude and intention. According to three dialogues or monologues (200-300 words each), candidates are asked to choose the best option from the four options given in each question. Each recorded material is played only once. The question is not played in the recording, but printed on the test paper.
During the exam, candidates write or draw the answers on the test paper; Before the end of the listening section, candidates have 5 minutes to copy or smear the answers on the test paper on the answer sheet 1. This part takes about 30 minutes (including copying and transmission time).

This part not only examines the examinee's ability to recognize paragraph features such as coherence and consistency, but also examines the examinee's mastery of language norms used in a certain context, including a wide range of vocabulary, expression and structure.

Leave 20 spaces in an article of 240-280 words, and ask candidates to choose the best option from the four options given in each question, so as to make the supplementary article fluent, coherent and complete in structure. Among them, 12- 15 examines vocabulary, and 5-8 examines grammar and text structure. This part takes about 15 minutes. Candidates answer on the answer sheet 1
(3) Reading comprehension
This part consists of two sections, A and B, to examine the examinee's understanding of written English.
Section A (20 questions): Test the examinee's ability to understand specific information, grasp the main idea of the article, guess new words and draw inferences. Candidates are required to choose the best option from the four options given in each question according to the contents of the four articles provided (the total length is about 1 1,600 words).
Part b: examine the ability of candidates to understand the article accurately. Candidates are required to read 1 article of about 400 words and translate 5 underlined parts (about 150 words) into Chinese. This part will take about 60 minutes. Candidates answer part A on answer sheet 1 and part B on answer sheet 2.
(4) Writing
This part examines the written expression ability of candidates.
Candidates write an essay of 160-200 words according to the prompt information (Chinese/English). The forms of prompt information include topic sentences, writing outlines, prescribed scenarios, charts, tables, etc.
This part will take about 35 minutes. Candidates answer on answer sheet 2.

The oral test is divided into three parts, A, B and C, to test candidates' oral English communication ability.
Each oral test takes the form of two oral test teachers and two candidates. An oral examination teacher does not participate in the conversation and grades it specially; Another oral test teacher presided over the oral test, talked with the candidates and scored. Teachers who specialize in marking papers account for two-thirds of candidates' oral test scores, and teachers who preside over oral tests account for one-third of candidates' oral test scores.
Part A: Examining the ability of candidates to introduce themselves. In this section, the two candidates do not need to communicate with each other (if necessary). This preservation takes 2 minutes.
Part B: Examine the ability of candidates to discuss and solve related problems with pictures on information cards. This part takes the form of solving problems, sorting, discussing and making decisions, or expounding one's own views on two completely opposite viewpoints. This preservation takes 3 minutes.
Part C: Examines the candidates' ability of continuous expression and brief discussion of the pictures on the information card. This preservation takes 7 minutes.
