Guizhou minzu university, which belongs to Guizhou Provincial People's Government, is one of the earliest universities for nationalities established in New China. The school was founded in May 195 1 17, formerly known as Guizhou Institute for Nationalities, and was renamed guizhou minzu university with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government in October/February.
