An adjective maintains the same sex number as the noun it modifies.
Adverb comparative degree:
She sang for me.
She came up to me.
Adverbs never cooperate (except for a few adverbs such as tout, grand grand ...)
Adjective superlative:
They are the super fortress of the school.
This is the happiest time in the world.
Adverb superlative:
This is her favorite.
This is my favorite.
The superlatives need definite articles, adjectives need juxtaposition, adverbs need juxtaposition or not.
