Xi Engineering University, referred to as "Xi Engineering University" for short, is the only university in western China that features textiles and clothing. Master's degrees are held in the Education and Training Plan for Excellent Engineers of the Ministry of Education, the New Engineering Research and Practice Project of the Ministry of Education (Education and Training Plan for Excellent Engineers 2.0), the provincial high-level universities in Shaanxi Province, and the first batch of universities established by Shaanxi 20 1 1 Collaborative Innovation Center.

Xi University of Technology, formerly known as the Textile Department of Beijing Institute of Technology, was founded in 19 12. After that, it experienced the development stages of the Textile Department of National Peking University Institute of Technology, the Textile Department of Northwest Associated University and the Textile Department of Northwest Institute of Technology, and began to recruit graduate students majoring in textile engineering from 1959. Northwest Textile Vocational and Technical College was established in 1978, which belongs to the former Ministry of Textile Industry. 1998 was placed under the local government, and a university was built for the central government and the local government, with Shaanxi Province as the main management. In 2006, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was renamed Xi 'an University of Engineering.
