Nankai University was founded in 19 19. This year, in 2008, is the centenary of Nankai University. Located in Balitai Campus of Nankai University, Weijin Road, Tianjin. It experienced the war and rebuilt its glory. It has not only trained generations of students on the ever-changing journey, but also attracted tourists from Tianjin with its beautiful campus scenery and strong academic atmosphere.
Entering the east gate of Balitai Campus, the main road facing the gate is the most famous road in Nankai University,No. Zhong Road. This long middle road is flanked by towering poplars and shady green trees. When you walk on the road called "never widen", you have crossed the memory road of Nankai University for decades.
Walk along Dazhong Road for about 300 meters, and you can see the comprehensive experimental building on the left side of the road, in front of which is Menglou. There is a small garden on the west side of the comprehensive experimental building, where students usually hold activities such as English corner and study together.
Further on, it is the most famous horseshoe lake in Nankai University. In midsummer, horseshoe lake is full of lotus flowers, attracting many photographers to take pictures.
There is a stone tablet on the island in the center of horseshoe lake, engraved with Premier Zhou's head and famous saying "I love Nankai", expressing the Prime Minister's love for his alma mater.
Further on, it is the largest lake in Nankai University, Xinkai Lake. The wide lake is refreshing. Every morning, many students come to the lake to read in the morning, and the book sounds loud and clear. Opposite the newly opened lake is the old library, which is the second library after the liberation of Nankai University. Old doors and windows and plaques, as well as a pair of bronze lions at the door, represent the "old-fashioned" and introverted of that era. It is worth mentioning that the French phoenix tree in front of the library is a rare thing, which is hard to find in Tianjin.
The unique Oriental Art Department Building is in front of Xinkai Lake on the right. The overall architectural modeling is a combination of two books, which is really a "romance that only artists can create".
Go ahead and you will reach the first teaching building of Nankai University. This 60' s style building is the landmark of Nankai University. Some people compare this teaching building to the "backbone" of Nankai University.
The "root" of Nankai University is Siyuantang. On the west side of Siyuan Hall, that is, in the Little Square behind the main building, there is the school clock of Nankai University. This ancient school clock was destroyed by gunfire in 1937 and recast in 1997.
There was a ring at the bell In order to remember the history and look forward to the future, there is also a school monument next to it, which records the historical time of this century-old prestigious school. In the square in front of the main building, the statue of Premier Zhou stands in the center of the square. From time to time, alumni or visitors presented flowers and took photos for the Prime Minister.
The provincial government building is located on the southwest side of the square in front of the main building, named after Chen Shengshen, a master of mathematics. There is also a small garden in the southeast corner of the square in front of the main building, called Friendship Sakura Garden. You can come here to enjoy cherry blossoms in spring. Li Yun Road is at the western end of Dazhong Road, and there is a small irrigation river on the west side of Li Yun Road. Opposite the small bridge are the south buildings of the School of Life Sciences and the School of Chemistry.
Not far away are the new library, Boling Building and Sun Fan Building. Further west, two unique buildings appeared in front of us. They are round and square, and they are the teaching buildings of the School of Economics. Because of their unique shape combination, they are particularly eye-catching
The campus of Nankai University is full of scholarly atmosphere. Strolling around the campus, you can quietly feel the massiness of "Hundred Years of Nankai" and the vitality of the Prime Minister's alma mater.
The campus has different beautiful scenery all year round. We enjoy cherry blossoms in spring, lotus flowers in summer, fallen leaves in autumn and walking in the snow in winter, as if we were a member of Nankai University. You can hear familiar school songs everywhere.
