Jiangsu Ocean University is two universities.

Jiangsu Ocean University is referred to as "Jiangsu Haida". Located in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, it belongs to Jiangsu Education Bureau. The school was selected as a powerful country to promote the education of engineering reserve colleges during the 14 th Five-Year Plan period. The school is the governing unit of the national educational administration alliance of sea-related colleges and universities, and the cooperation alliance unit of Jiangsu sea-related Industry-University-Research.

Jiangsu Ocean University 1985 was founded as Huaihai University (to be built), and 1989 was approved by the Ministry of Education as Huaihai Institute of Technology. 1998 to 2002, the former Jiangsu Salt School, Lianyungang Fisheries School and Lianyungang Chemical College with a history of more than 40 years were successively merged into Huaihai Institute of Technology.

On July 20 13, the State Council Academic Degrees Committee approved the school as a master's degree awarding unit. From July, 2065438 to July, 2007, the school became the project construction unit for awarding doctoral degrees. 2065438+June 2009, the Ministry of Education approved the school to be renamed Jiangsu Ocean University.

As of May 2023, Jiangsu Ocean University has four campuses, with a total area of 2 193.83 mu and a school building area of 637,600 square meters. There are full-time teachers 1330, more than 20,000 full-time undergraduates and 800 graduate students/kloc-0. The school has 20 colleges and 70 undergraduate majors.

1, chemical engineering and technology

Aquaculture mainly studies the basic knowledge and skills of aquatic animals and plants, breeding, breeding and feed nutrition and production, and carries out aquaculture production, processing and technical development in aquaculture.
