School profile of Jinling University
Jinling University was originally a private university founded by the American Christian Church, which was founded after 1888 (the 14th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty). It is one of the famous missionary universities with a long history and large scale in China, and the earliest missionary university in Nanjing. After the founding of New China, it was taken over by the government and transformed into a public Jinling University. By the time 1952 merged with Nanjing University, Jinling University had a history of 64 years.

During its 64-year history, Jinling University has carried out Christian education and spread the gospel of Christ in accordance with the mission of the church, trained a large number of outstanding talents and promoted cultural exchanges between China and the West.
