The Baltimore Dental College, the world's first dental college, was formally established under the franchise of the Maryland government, thanks to Haydn and Harris. This unique college in the world is fully supervised by the "Supervisory Committee", which includes 9 physicians, 4 priests and 2 dentists, belonging to 4 colleges. The two dentists are Haydn and Harris. Haydn is a professor of dental physiology and pathology and the dean of the college, while Harris is a professor and provost of practical dentistry. Two of them are Thomas e bond Jr., a professor of special pathology and therapeutics, and the other is H. Willis barkley, a professor of anatomy and physiology.
