Professional Introduction of Tsinghua University Aerospace Institute
Unlike traditional aerospace colleges, there are no aerospace or propulsion colleges in Tsinghua University. Tsinghua Aerospace Research Institute integrates aviation, aerospace, propulsion and other disciplines. While developing high-level professional disciplines, we should attach importance to the cultivation of comprehensive talents in the aerospace field. Learn from MIT, Stanford, Princeton and other famous foreign universities. Undergraduate students in the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics are trained according to a unified teaching plan, and are good at laying a solid and broad basic theory, focusing on training professionals in aerospace engineering, engineering mechanics and thermal energy and power engineering (engineering thermophysics).

Since 2004, the undergraduate enrollment of the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics has been carried out according to the major categories of colleges, that is, undergraduate enrollment has been carried out in accordance with "Engineering Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering" and "Engineering Mechanics (Qian Xuesen Class)". Under the guidance of Tsinghua University's policy of "strengthening wide-caliber professional education on the basis of general education and cultivating compound talents with thick foundation and wide caliber", undergraduate teaching aims to cultivate all-round development-oriented talents with solid theoretical foundation and comprehensive engineering ability in the fields of aerospace science and technology, mechanics, power engineering and engineering thermophysics.

Most undergraduate students in Aeronautical College have the opportunity to study and train directly at home and outside the school, and choose their own research interests to continue their master's or doctoral degrees. The doctoral program of the first-class discipline of mechanics in the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics is a national key first-class discipline, ranking first in previous evaluations by the Ministry of Education. Since 1999, the evaluation of 100 excellent doctoral dissertations in China began, there are 13 doctoral students in our college, ranking among the best in the country.
