Established in 2003, Tan Kah Kee College of Xiamen University is an independent college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is jointly organized by Xiamen University, a key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and Xiamen Tan Kah Kee Education Development Co., Ltd., and operates with a new mechanism and mode.

By June 2022, Tan Kah Kee College had established 13 colleges, 1 independent departments, 2 teaching departments, 2 teaching centers, 1 practical teaching and training centers, 1 scientific research centers and 54 undergraduate courses, covering science, engineering, literature, economics and economics.
