Beijing Information Science and Technology University, located in Beijing, is a key university supported by Beijing, focusing on engineering, with the coordinated development of engineering, management, science, economics, literature and law. It was selected into the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education, the "1 1 plan" of the country, the first batch of demonstration universities in Beijing to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and the first batch of digital campus demonstration schools in Beijing-affiliated universities. Beijing Information Science and Technology University was founded in 2008, which was formed by the merger of Beijing Institute of Mechanical Technology, which belonged to the former Ministry of Machinery, and Beijing Institute of Information Engineering, which belonged to the former Ministry of Electronics. Its school history can be traced back to the 1930s.
