The University of Southern California has two undergraduate film degrees, one is the Academy of Film Arts, and the other is the College of Literature and Arts. Arts in Cinema Arts with a Track in Production, jointly provided by Sciences, does not accept high school students' applications, and students from other schools need 48 credits to transfer, as of February 1. One is a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film; Television production can accept applications from high school students. The basic requirements are consistent with other majors, such as TOEFL 100 and SAT.

The film production/film production major of the University of Southern California is set up under the Academy of Film Arts, with a duration of 3 years. In the first year, all students learn the same courses and basic film skills. From the second year, all students should choose a small direction according to their own specialties and hobbies, only study several courses such as film history and film theory, attend seminars in different directions, play different roles and do different jobs in practical projects.
