The hospital has 32 clinical departments and 20 medical technology departments. It has a ministerial-level cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment technology center, a practical interventional technology promotion training center of Chinese Medical Association and a modern clinical experiment center. Southeast University Institute of Interventional Radiology, Institute of Critical Care Medicine, Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Institute of Traumatic Surgery, Institute of Functional Neurosurgery, Institute of Prosthesis Reconstruction Surgery, Institute of Nephropathy, Institute of Deafness Rehabilitation and Institute of Myelodysplastic Syndrome are all located in the hospital. Medical imaging and interventional radiology, plastic surgery are the key medical disciplines of "135" project in Jiangsu province, and emergency medicine is the provincial key discipline construction unit. The hospital also has 17 provincial and ministerial clinical key specialties.

The clinical medical college, which operates integrally with the hospital, is the largest department of Southeast University, and trains all kinds of clinical medical professionals. 1978 began to recruit the first batch of graduate students. At present, there are four first-class master's degree awarding points, two first-class doctoral degree awarding points, 18 second-class doctoral degree awarding points, and 100 more than master's tutors, covering most clinical medicine majors, and enrolling more than 100 master's students every year. In 200 1 year, graduate students with master's degree in medicine (skills) were enrolled, and in 2002, seven-year graduate students were enrolled. 200 12 was selected as the excellent doctoral training plan of the Ministry of Education-the top-notch innovative talents training plan, and began to pilot eight-year medical education.
