What is the content of CET-4 and what are its components?
CET-4 includes five parts: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, word usage and grammatical structure, cloze and essay writing.

Part I: Listening: * * * 20 questions, and the examination time is 20 minutes. This part consists of two sections: Section A contains 10 questions, and each question contains a group of dialogues, followed by a question. Part B has 10 questions, which are arranged after several listening materials. There are two or four questions after each article, and each topic is regarded as a question.

Part II: Reading Comprehension: **20 questions, and the examination time is 35 minutes.

Candidates are required to read several short essays, with a total reading of no more than 1000 words. There are several questions at the end of each essay. Candidates should choose the best answer from the four options in each question according to the content of the article.

Part III: Word usage and grammatical structure: **30 questions, and the examination time is 20 minutes. In the topic, 40% is the usage of words and phrases, and 60% is the grammatical structure. Candidates are required to choose the best answer from the four options of each question.

The purpose of the word usage and grammatical structure section is to test students' ability to use words, phrases and grammatical structures. The scope of the examination includes all the contents of the vocabulary and grammar structure table of the syllabus from Grade 1 to Grade 4.

The fourth part: cloze: **20 questions, examination time 15 minutes. A familiar and moderately difficult essay (about 200 words) has 20 spaces, each space is a question, and each question has four options. Candidates are required to choose the best answer on the basis of a comprehensive understanding of the content and restore the meaning and structure of the essay. Fill-in-the-blank words include structural words and translated words.

The purpose of cloze is to test students' comprehensive ability to use language.

Part V: Writing: * * *1topic, the examination time is 30 minutes. Candidates are required to write an essay of 100- 120 words. The test paper may give a topic, or specify a situation, or ask for a picture composition, or ask for a continuation of the first sentence of a paragraph; Or give key words and ask for short passages. 2 Skills of passing CET-4

Band 4 skills are still very important. Instead of examining the English level of candidates, it is better to examine the ability of candidates to complete tasks within the specified time. Many candidates who have passed CET-4 (including high-scoring candidates) have not finished the examination questions.

We should clearly distinguish which parts are important. Personally, listening, reading and writing are the key points of CET-4, and cloze and translation scores are small, so you don't need to spend too much time reviewing. We can recite some different types of model essays, practice fast reading with real questions instead of reading articles, and find answers in articles with questions.

Listen to the options first. If you make a little record of the content while listening, you'd better practice at ordinary times and read for no more than 12 minutes at a time.
