Hainan University is a comprehensive key university which was merged from South China University of Tropical Agriculture and Hainan University in August 2007. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Hainan Provincial People's Government. All walks of life, overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan donated money to build important projects such as office buildings, teaching buildings, libraries, academic centers, stadiums and student activity centers, and set up a number of scholarships. Hainan University currently has three campuses: Haidian Campus, Chengxi Campus and Danzhou Campus, and there is also a planned Mission Hills campus. There are seven canteens in Haidian Campus. Many dormitories in Hainan University are brand new. Standard quadruple room, with upper berth and lower desk and wardrobe. From apartment building No.4, as long as it is an apartment building, it is a four-person room.
