Established in April of 19 1 1, Tsinghua College Library was officially named as National Tsinghua University in 1928, and the library was renamed as Tsinghua University Library. In 19 19 and 193 1, the libraries were built in batches. Zhu Ziqing and Pan Guangdan are former curators. Construction of the new building started on 1987 and was completed in July. The total area of new and old buildings is 27,800 square meters.
