According to official website of Wuhan University, the School of Pharmacy of Wuhan University was founded in May, 20001,formerly known as the Department of Pharmacy of School of Life Sciences and the Department of Pharmacy of Medical College of Wuhan University (both enrolled students from 1994). Is one of the founding units of the State Key Laboratory of Virology, and participated in the construction of Wuhan Institute of Biotechnology. The School of Pharmacy of Wuhan University consists of the Institute of Chemical Medicine, the Institute of Biological Medicine, the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Natural Medicine, the Institute of Drug Analysis and Screening, the Institute of Clinical Medicine and the Pharmaceutical Experimental Teaching Center, and has the key laboratory of combinatorial biosynthesis and new drug discovery of the Ministry of Education. At present, the college has two undergraduate majors, pharmacy and biopharmaceuticals, and three pharmaceutical professional degree authorization points, including master of pharmacy, master of traditional Chinese medicine and pharmaceutical engineering.
