Anhui University of Science and Technology is a provincial undergraduate college with a long history, profound cultural heritage and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. The school was founded in 1950, and the undergraduate education began in 1965. After the changes of Fengyang Branch of Anhui Agricultural College, Northern Anhui Agricultural College, Anhui Agricultural Technology Teachers College and Anhui Technical Teachers College, it was renamed Anhui University of Science and Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2005.
The school has Fengyang Campus and Bengbu Longhu Campus. Fengyang Campus is located in Zhongdu Ancient City, the hometown of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of Ming Dynasty. Campus trees, birds and flowers, beautiful environment. Longhu Campus is located in Bengbu University Town, adjacent to Bengbu University Science Park, high-speed railway station and Zilonghu Scenic Area.
The school covers an area of nearly 2,000 mu with a building area of 580,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 250 million yuan. There are 5 basic experimental teaching centers, 26 professional group experimental centers (rooms) and 7 subject platforms. The school has three national-level scientific and technological innovation platforms, one national-level off-campus practical education base for college students 1, and five provincial-level scientific and technological innovation platforms1.
