China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, a national "world-class discipline construction university", a national "2 1 1 Project" and a "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform Project". It is the first batch of universities in China, including industrial technology innovation strategic alliance, Beijing Hi-Tech University alliance and "Belt and Road" mining university alliance.
The predecessor of the school is Jiaozuo Road and Mine School, which was founded in 1909. 193 1 changed its name to private Jiaozuo institute of technology. 1938, the school moved westward, and jointly established the National Northwest Institute of Technology with the engineering schools of Northeastern University, Beiyang University and Peiping University. 1946 Jiaozuo Institute of Technology resumed classes, 1949 moved back to Jiaozuo. 1950 was renamed as China Mining Institute. 1953, the school moved to Beijing and changed its name to Beijing Institute of Mining and Technology. 1970, the school moved to Hechuan, Sichuan, and changed its name to Sichuan Mining Institute. 1988, the school was renamed as China University of Mining and Technology. 65438-0997 China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing Campus) was established.
